The Alkire HomeThe Alkire Home is nestled in Eagar's exclusive Cedar Ridge subdivision of site-built homes. This exquisite neighborhood offers the best in residential living amidst a safe community setting.

The Alkire Home offers private rooms with approximately 2900 sq. ft. of comfortable living space that is tailored to meet the individual needs of each consumer it serves. Our home offers large windows with spectacular views of the surrounding area and a 500 sq. Arizona Room adjoining a spacious 500 sq. ft. living room. The property consists of nearly two acres with future plans to landscape and develop a wheel chair accessible petting zoo, flower garden, and common sitting areas.

The Eagar/Springerville community offers small town living with many amenities. The towns of Eagar and Springerville are known as Round Valley and are located in Northeastern/Central Arizona in Apache County on the Northeast slopes of the White Mountains, 15 miles west of the New Mexico state border, 220 miles East of Phoenix off U.S. Highway 60.

The community's combined population is roughly 6,200. Round Valley residents enjoy four seasons; noted are the brilliant fall colors that surround the valley at an elevation of 7,000 ft. The area offers a Reeves Foundation New Group Homevariety of health and medical services including a 16 bed hospital and emergency room, three medical clinics, behavioral health services, public health through the Apache County Health Department and numerous other county health programs.

In addition, there are various organizations available for the Developmentally Disabled to be involved with and participate in, such as The Children and Family Alliance. There is a day program available in Eagar which is operated by AIRES. In addition, AZTEC and AIRES both offer additional services to the area which are specific to the Developmentally Disabled population.

The communities are known for its numerous year round recreational activities, including hunting, hiking, fishing, boating, swimming, water skiing, camping, picnicking, backpacking, horseback riding, bike riding, sight seeing, snowmobiling, ATV trails, down hill and cross-country snow skiing, and historical site tours.

Calendar of Events include the 4th of July Celebration and Rodeo, Eagar Daze, ATV Outlaw Trail Jamboree and Christmas Electric Light Parade. Round Valley offers shopping, parks, swimming pool, restaurants, churches, school activities, and a public library. The communities are supportive and accommodative of persons with disabilities. The Reeves Foundation believes in and encourages integration and participation of the consumers into the community. Our company is dedicated to the development of our community.
